What does the consultancy do? We offer a range of dedicated
services to our clients, each of which can be tailored to specific
requirements, typically in the following areas:
Search or "head-hunt"
Defining all aspects of an assignment
is a key element in each search. We work closely with the client
from an early stage, to ensure maximum comprehension of the
requirement. We confirm our understanding with a briefing
document, which becomes our basic working paper for the search; it
covers the client company, relevant departments, the position and an
outline of the candidate specifications. Our initial research
identifies the list of target companies; then we take considerable time
and care in the process of sourcing potentially suitable
candidates. All research is undertaken in-house, led by the senior
consultant who liaises with the client at every stage to confirm
approval.
We approach and interview potential
candidates on a discreet basis. We market the client and the
position effectively, in order to secure the highest level of
interest. A short list of the most suitable candidates is compiled
and the client is provided with a clear yet comprehensive analysis of
each one. These are discussed in detail prior to
client/candidate interviews. We provide support and assistance
throughout the interview, negotiation and offer stages.
Communication of relevant information to the client and all candidates
at every stage is an issue we consider vital. We also provide
support to the candidate throughout the resignation stage - often a
particularly difficult time - and during induction, if required.
"Cherry pick"
This is a highly effective option
when the search is restricted to a very small target area or where
specific individuals have already been identified. Whether we are
asked to undertake a single, discreet approach or a wider search within
a tightly defined area, we handle each assignment with the same level of
care and attention throughout.
Advertising or
"selection" There are occasions when an
advertisement is an efficient method of identifying potential
candidates. As for all assignments, it is important to ensure that
we understand fully all aspects of the position and are kept in touch
with any developments. Once the decision to advertise has been
agreed, we prepare a draft advertisement, providing recommendations for
media together with detailed costings. On approval, we arrange the
artwork and placement of the advert. All replies are monitored,
and a response is made to every applicant, whether suitable or
not. Interviewing and subsequent procedures are as for a search.
Research
We can carry out a variety of
research projects. These range from salary or industry surveys to
feasibility studies or departmental reviews. |
